Only those who meet the requirements can use the CFP® certification marks.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®,  CFP Logo Flame Design and  CFP Logo Plaque Design in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Accredited Investment Fiduciary®(AIF®)

An AIF® specializes in investment fiduciary standards of care. They are equipped with extensive knowledge in plan distributions, design, implementation and fiduciary issues. AIF® designees have demonstrated their ability to meet educational, competence and ethical standards to serve clients’ best interests and uphold fiduciary care during financial planning engagements.

Certified Private Wealth Advisor®(CPWA®)

The CPWA® designation offers several benefits for high-net-worth clients. The certification helps endow financial professionals with advanced knowledge in areas such as portfolio management, risk management, asset preservation and legacy planning. Further, the credential equips advisors with the tools and strategies required to address the distinct challenges faced by high-net-worth individuals and families.

Retirement Income Certified Professional®(RICP®)

RICP® designees specialize in retirement income planning, offering customized solutions and strategies to help ensure a fulfilling retirement for their clients. Professionals who hold this designation possess the capabilities to help their clients establish a steady retirement income from their savings as well as tailor retirement plans to meet individual needs; while considering factors like Social Security benefits, company retirement benefits and long-term care needs.

Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant℠(ChFEBC℠)

ChFEBCs offer specialized knowledge and personalized support to federal employees seeking guidance on retirement benefits. Those who hold this designation complete extensive training to acquire proficiency in federal employee benefits; and stay up to date on the ever-changing Federal Government Benefits Programs.

Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®(CAP®)

The CAP® designation equips advisors with the knowledge and tools to navigate philanthropic complexities, maximize impact and create meaningful legacies for their clients. Advisors who hold this designation receive specialized education on how to best support their clients’ philanthropic goals.
