Jen brings almost 30 years of financial services experience to the Serving Those Who Serve team. After graduating from University of Maryland with a degree in Economics, she looked to extend her college experience in banking to the financial planning and investment world. In 2002 she earned the prestigious CFP designation. Since then, she has guided hundreds of individuals and families with important financial and investment decisions. Growing up in the DC area, Jen has many current and former feds in her life, including her dad and several close aunts and uncles. For her, working with Feds is a special way to give back to the community she has grown up in. In addition to the CFP designation, Jen holds both Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant and Accredited Investment Fiduciary certifications. She is a frequent writer for both Serving Those Who Serve and Fedsmith. Clients value her empathy and competence, appreciating her deep understanding of how life events impact financial decisions. Outside of work, Jen is known as a supportive mom to her two college age children and devoted sister to her disabled brother. Jen and her husband reside in North Potomac, MD.
