Hi. I’m Wes Battle, senior financial advisor here at Serving Those Who Serve.
Working with Feds is personal for me. My family goes back 3 generations in federal service. Oh, and my spouse is a fed, so I REALLY need to know the system.
Helping federal employees and their families understand complicated federal benefits and make excellent decisions for their financial futures is what gets me up in the morning.
I’ve always been curious. How do people make better financial decisions? Why do some make big mistakes? This led me to McDaniel College and dual majors in Business administration and Economics. From there I immediately entered the financial planning field and acquired the CFP® designation.
After a few years, I found STWS and I knew I was home. I jumped at the chance to secure the Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC℠), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) certifications.
Now I spend every day helping feds understand their complicated system.
What about my questions about good decisions and mistakes? In my time here, it has saddened me to learn that all too often career federal employees make errors in their financial and retirement planning due to misinformation or lack of reliable resources.
I work to fix that.
My purpose is to help you filter through the noise and find the accurate information and answers so that you can make the best decision for your retirement and your family. I want to leave every fed I meet in a better place.
Since so much of your financial future depends on your federal benefits, doesn’t it make sense to have someone on your team that understands them?
I answer questions about federal benefits and retirement every single day. Shouldn’t one of those questions be yours?
My calendar is below- please pick a good time for you. I’d love to chat.
